Dr. Md. Obaidullah Urf Mohiuddin (Qasmi)
Having completed his Fazilat (Alimiyyat) and Ifta from Darul Uloom Deoband seminary in 1995, Dr Md. Obaidullah did his B.A. in 2001 from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and MA (Arabic) in 2009, from the University of Delhi. He also attended CELTA of Cambridge University, UK. Later, he got enrolled for a doctoral degree in Arabic in the University of Delhi, which he earned in 2014. Prior to joining Zakir Husain Delhi College of Delhi University, he served as a teacher at Darul Uloom Deoband in the Department of English Language & Literature and taught a 2-year special English language & literature course. Before joining this department in Deoband, he served as a teacher in the same Department at Markazul Maarif Education & Research Center, Mumbai & Delhi. Currently, he is serving as an Assistant Professor & Head at the Arabic Department, Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi. Dr Md. Obaidullah speaks and writes fluently in Urdu, English and Arabic. He has edited half a dozen of books in English.
Mufti Mohammad Anwar Khan Qasmi
A graduate of the prestigious Darul Uloom, Deoband, Mufti Mohammad Anwar Khan Qasmi did his MA in English (2012) from Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), BA in Arabic (2017) and MA in Islamic studies both from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi. He did his Takhaṣṣuṣ fi al-Ḥadīth (Specialization in Ḥadīth) from Darul Uloom, Deoband. Mufti Anwar serves as the Managing Director of ‘Indo-Arab Multilingual Pvt. Ltd.’, a translation company he established in 2013. He laid the foundation of the Islamic Research and Education Trust in 2014 which he established as a dynamic research center in Deoband, which is also involved in the publication of several academic books on a wide range of topics relating to Islam. In 2015, he started the ‘Learn Arabic Online’ program which is designed to provide online Arabic classes to students seeking to learn Arabic, in which he teaches, as a lead instructor, with a group of Arabic experts. He also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Islamic Literature Review (now Deoband Journal of Islamic Thought), an International Journal of Islamic Revival, published bilingually in Arabic and English from Deoband. Mufti Anwar has authored, co-authored, edited, translated, and annotated more than 50 books in Urdu, Arabic and English.
Dr. Aatif Suhail Siddiqui
Atif Suhail Siddiqui is the Founder and President of Deoband Institute of Islamic Thought (DIIT). Atif Suhail completed graduation in Commerce in 1998 from Udaipur, Rajasthan, later he earned a degree of M.A. in Islamic Studies from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Suhail moved to International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and got a Ph. D in Usul al-Din and Comparative Religion in 2010. Prior to establishing DIIT Atif Suhail Siddiqui was working as a visiting lecturer at Dept. of Aqidah and Islamic Thought, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Atif Suhail is also the Manager of Imam Muhammad Qasim Al- Nanotvi Educational Foundation, he is also the chairman at the editorial board of Islamic Literature Review, An International Journal of Islamic Revival.
Mohammad Afzal Qasmi
Having completed his Fazilat (Alimiyyat) from Darul Uloom Deoband seminary in 1996-97, Maulana Mohammad Afzal Qasmi did a two-year English Diploma Course from Markazul Maarif Education & Research Centre, New Delhi in 1997-99. He moved to UK in 2006 where he is serving as a teacher of Ḥadīth at al-Jamiah al-Islamiyyah, Bolton, and a lecturer in Arabic, at Blackburn College, Blackburn, UK. He did his BA in Arabic, English and Political Science from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in 2005. Prior to his moving to the United Kingdom, he served as a teacher at Darul Uloom Deoband in the Department of English Language & Literature and taught a 2-year special English language & literature course. Before joining this department in Deoband, he served as a teacher of English language at Markazul Maarif Education & Research Centre, Mumbai & Delhi from 1999 till 2002. He also attended CELTA of Cambridge University. Maulana Mohammad Afzal Qasmi speaks and writes fluently in Urdu, English and Arabic.
