Mufti Mohammad Anwar Khan Qasmi
A graduate of the prestigious Darul Uloom, Deoband, Mufti Mohammad Anwar Khan Qasmi did his MA in English (2012) from Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), BA in Arabic (2017) and MA in Islamic studies both from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi. He did his Takhaṣṣuṣ fi al-Ḥadīth (Specialization in Ḥadīth) from Darul Uloom, Deoband. Mufti Anwar serves as the Managing Director of ‘Indo-Arab Multilingual Pvt. Ltd.’, a translation company he established in 2013. He laid the foundation of the Islamic Research and Education Trust in 2014 which he established as a dynamic research center in Deoband, which is also involved in the publication of several academic books on a wide range of topics relating to Islam. In 2015, he started the ‘Learn Arabic Online’ program which is designed to provide online Arabic classes to students seeking to learn Arabic, in which he teaches, as a lead instructor, with a group of Arabic experts. He also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Islamic Literature Review (now Deoband Journal of Islamic Thought), an International Journal of Islamic Revival, published bilingually in Arabic and English from Deoband. Mufti Anwar has authored, co-authored, edited, translated, and annotated more than 50 books in Urdu, Arabic and English.
Jawwad Ali Khan Qasmi
Having completed his Fazilat (Alimiyyat) from Darul Uloom Deoband seminary in 2004, Maulana Jawwad Ali Khan Qasmi did a two-year English Diploma Course from the Department of English Language & Literature, Darul Uloom Deoband in 2006. Then he moved to New Delhi where he joined Mahad al-Takhaṣṣuṣ fi al-Lughah al-ʿArabiyyah (Institute for Specialization in Arabic Language &Literature). He also did his spoken English course from In lingua Institute, New Delhi. During the period of 2009-2011, he also did a two-year Diploma Course in Arabic Language from the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language. Then he did his BA(Hons) in Arabic from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, in 2014, and MA Arabic from the same University in 2017. While pursuing his education, he also worked, since 2009 till 2013, as a translator with the ‘Indo-Arab Multilingual Pvt. Ltd’, a language translation company based in Deoband. He joined E-Procurement Technologies Limited in 2013 as an Executive Translator which he left in 2017 to serve as an Assistant Professor of Arabic in the Haji Daudbha iVajir Aghariya Jafari Arts & Commerce College, affiliated to the Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University. Maulana Qasmi speaks and writes fluently in Urdu, English and Arabic.
Umme Arham
Having completed her Matriculation and Pre-University Course at Hassan PU College, in Karnataka, Umme Arham did her Alimah course from al-Mahad al-Tadreebi al-Mihani li al-Banat in Hasan. Then she did her BA and MA in Urdu both from Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad. Later she joined a local Madrasa as an instructor to teach Arabic to children. She has been working with the ‘Indo-Arab Multilingual Pvt. Ltd.’ as an Urdu and Arabic translator for the last seven years. Currently, she is working as an Arabic tutor with ‘Learn Arabic Online’. She has penned several articles and poems in Urdu which were published in leading Urdu magazines and dailies.
Umme Javeria
Currently serving as an Arabic teacher in the ‘Learn Arabic Online’ program, launched by the Islamic Research and Education Trust in Deoband, Umme Juveriya did her Diploma in Modern Arabicin 2013, and B.A Honors (Arabic) in 2018 both from Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi. She did her 6-years Arabic-based Alima course from Jamiah al-Banat al-Islamia in Shaheen Bagh, Delhi. Previously, she taught for about 3 years Arabic and Darse Niẓāmī books in a women’s Madrasa, Markaz Islahe Khawateen, in New Delhi. She has also joined ‘Indo-Arab Multilingual Pvt. Ltd’ as translator from Arabic into Urdu in January 2020. She knows Urdu, Arabic, English, and Hindi languages.
